All of the songs on this album were written by Sheldon Botler, with the exception of Inorae, which was written by my favorite Korean pop group 2AM.

Thoughtful Beginnings is more than just a live album, it is a documentation of the power of music. I was blessed with the opportunity to share my stories with a captive audience and have them share with me bits about themselves. I am grateful that many of them were moved by my lyrics and presence, and would like you to know that the experience was equally transformational for me.

Thank you David P. Louis and the Lucid Jazz Lounge staff for inviting me into your home. Thank you Charles Bowman (engineer) for putting these recordings together! Special shout out to Mr. Kevin Allen for coming to nearly every show and inviting friends, Jason Reddock and his partner for always showing mad love at shows, Lauren Aquino for being the ultimate merch master, Chad Bystrom for filming and making an amazing Documentary, Emoree Martin for helping me get my name out there, Albert Smalls, Elizabeth and Tehut for supporting me since I was a pup (Bulldog reference), and all of my friends and family that came out to support, bought a demo and made this series of performances what it came to be :)
